This is a video that shows one of the most pretentious, and in my opinion underwhelming artists of our time. It shows his methodology, where he has adopted the Damien Hirst/ Andy Warhol approach to art where others do the technical work for you. He has a massive studio and you can see the processes that his technicians go through to create his art. He also talks about his idea on art and walks the viewer through what is happening for him at the time of the interview. With various projects going on in the studio space is is a good look at how one of the worlds biggest artists prouces art on big and small scale.
The way the video is shot is quite simple and focuses in on Koons as he talks about his experiences and philosophies. There is no music and the audio is largely him talking as the camera rolls. I'm not sure that there is any music that Koons likes so no music suits this clip quite well.
No I do not like Jeff Koons!!
